From the Page to the Stage
With the generous YEA grant, the company was able to work with three 3rd- 5th grade classes at St. Andrews School of Math and Science in workshops using a story from their curriculum as inspiration for improvisation and creative movement. On November 5th, each class presented a short dance created through the students’ compositional exercises. From the Page to the Stage was a lecture/demonstration style performance, including a piece from the Annex repertory inspired by the poetry of W. B. Yeats.
