Out of the Rose

Annex Dance Company is excited to be remounting Out of the Rose for the festival. Out of the Rose is an evening-length modern dance piece crafted around the poetry of W. B. Yeats. Embracing Yeats’ idea of ‘total theater’, the choreography is influenced by sign language translations of selected poems by Yeats. Out of the Rose made its Charletson debut last February at the Library Society. Once again the company is collaborating with actor Evan Parry, who will be performing the role of Yeats.
